And so today during my shift at the theatre, I got so emotional and couldn't stop the tears that came rolling down my cheeks as I watched a 7 yr old boy whose surgery I had watched in the operating room barely 48 hrs ago lay lifeless. It's not as if this is the first time have seen patients given up on the ward but this time the feeling was different. I could vividly remember the resuscitations and cpr's performed all to no avail. All so soon the mortuary man came with his carrier to pick up this little boy and just as he opened the carrier I saw an elderly woman naked and lifeless in the carrier. There and then the little boy was dumped into the carrier straight to the morgue. There and then, Revelation 20:12 dawned on me "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God;..." The bottom line of this long writeup is that we're jst passing through this place we call earth, we have a final destination and there's indeed life after death, though we pray for long life the truth is our life can be cut short at anytime and the question is after death what next? Let's be true to our maker, and serve him well while we can for we would all appear before him one day to give an account of all our deeds whether good or bad.
